Come and join the Sunnyside community in making the Detroit Steps a safer and more beautiful place to walk by, exercise, or just enjoy the view of the San Bruno Mountains! Painting the Steps will be ongoing for the month of August. Volunteers who paint for more than one shift over the course of the project will receive a Detroit Steps Project swag as a thank-you gift!

Via BART (10 min walk): From the Glen Park BART station, exit to the left and walk up Monterey Boulevard — 1 block past the Sunnyside Conservatory.

In 2022, we held a Trivia Night via Sporcle! Friends & Neighbors came together to raise money for the steps and see who knew their stuff.
